Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to work out of established medical practice offices that see patients across rural communities within the south part of our service area. This is a golden opportunity for an experienced APP where you’d collaborate and have support from your other physician and advanced practice colleagues. Requirements include having 1-2yrs of direct APP-patient experience and BLS-AHA certification.
- Practice out of Dwight and Braidwood offices. Services onsite for patients include EKGs, lab (pick-up occurs 2-3x/day), adult/ped immunizations, diabetic & BP screening, as well as in-office Pro-Time/INR, HA1c testing. Schedule would be M-F, 8am-5pm w/1hr lunch (flexible), but must include Fridays and being comfortable seeing 16-20pts daily.
- See all ages with a patient population of about 70% adults/30% peds, provide acute and preventative care, routine check-ups, women’s health (no OB), ability to perform in-clinic procedures, if desired as well, but not required. Outpatient EMR is fully automated using eClinical Works; Meditech Expanse coming Summer of 2023.
- Work with an outstanding collegial group who have a phenomenal reputation, which includes working with two other Family Practice physicians and another primary-care FNP, Interventional Cardiologist, Behavioral Health Care Managers (as part of our Integrated Behavioral Health Program that’s embedded in primary-care offices). Each office has a group of clinical staff that works with our providers, e.g. MA/RN/LPN.

We also have a Sleep Center, long-standing phenomenal ED & Radiology departments (including IR & Breast Health Nurse Navigator), 24/7 Hospitalist Program, ENT, Peds, Ob/Gyn, 4 Urgent Care centers, our own blood bank, 3 pathologists, plus PT/OT/SLP Rehabilitation Services, pain management, wound care. We are Primary Stroke Certified (give TPA in ED – we keep Stroke patients), and a multitude of other great sub-specialty consults available, e.g. 24/7 STEMI Call, GI, GS, Colo-Rectal, Ortho/Back/Podiatry, ID, RadOnc, Neph (we do inpatient Dialysis here), Rheum, Endo, Tele-Psych, open ICU w/Pulm consults available to name a few.

Since 03/18, the hospital began a $74 million master facility plan that included expanding our ED which opened early March 2020 (17 private rooms with state-of-the-art features), newly remodeled Cardiac/EMG Diagnostics, renovated infusion therapy and imaging departments (new women’s center!) and streamlined outpatient lab services. Next we will be modernizing our internal OR/GI and post-surgical rooms while updating our patient registration process.
