The Morris Hospital Auxiliary and Foundation share a mission to engage the community in philanthropic support for Morris Hospital. Both organizations provide for programs and equipment purchases which may not otherwise be possible for the Hospital or would require more time for the Hospital to fund through its operations.
Each governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Auxiliary and Foundation receive gifts of all sizes from individuals, local businesses, grantors, employees and physicians, grateful patients and their families, and others who are invested in the health of our community.

AUXILIARY & FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS
Here are some of the Auxiliary and Foundation’s highlights from 2019:
- More than $680,000 was raised in net proceeds to programs and services the hospital provides through donations from community members and local business, as well as federal and state grants.
- More than 580 volunteers provided 52,000 hours of service for our hospital
- Mental Health awareness has been the forefront of our fundraising efforts over the last few years and with those monies, in 2019, we provided funding for medical professionals to participate in behavioral health training, are participating in a national behavioral health study with the University of Washington – AIMS Center and started a Family to Family program with National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) and We Care of Grundy County.
- Provided for new LifeLine® units, which will enable more people to live independently in their homes, and a Patient Transportation Bus which provides complimentary, non-emergent rides to health-related appointments, with proceeds from our most successful annual Auxiliary Golf Outing and Bridge/Euchre Tournament.
- Gave $15,000 in scholarships for students pursuing an education in healthcare
- Provided funding for Morris Hospital’s summer internships through the Grundy Economic Development Council internship program.
- The Auxiliary gift shop turned over $28,000!
- Helped employees and volunteers experiencing a disaster or hardship through our Relief Fund
- Provided tranquility for patients, families, and staff in our Serenity Garden
- Supported Camp 911, a popular program teaching emergency skills and first aid to more than 100 kids each summer
MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENTS
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in supporting the Morris Hospital Auxiliary and Foundation.
We believe that Morris Hospital is a truly incredible place and that we are thriving today because of our community. Last year alone, members of the community, our medical staff, employees, volunteers, local organizations, donors, and grantors contributed more than 52,000 hours of service and $551,000 to our Auxiliary and Foundation. As non-profit organizations, we rely on this kind of support in order to help us sustain a thriving and impactful healthcare organization.
Auxiliary and Foundation donors can say that they helped bring in the best technology, services, and programs to our Hospital. Everything from our Cath Lab, patient care carts, pediatric security monitoring system to our Patient Transportation, Medication Dispenser, and LifeLine® programs: your gifts made a tremendous impact.
We know that there are many needs in our community and wonderful organizations that meet those needs and increase the quality of life for our community. We hope you include Morris Hospital in that list and consider making a gift, or joining our team of 600+ volunteers.
