As a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Melissa Hill cares for patients ages newborn through 17 at the Morris Hospital Ottawa Campus. Her focus is preventive care and management of health in infants, children and teens, including illness management, nutritional counseling, immunizations, and physical fitness. Dr. Hill has a special interest in growth and development, breastfeeding, illness and accident prevention, and foster care.
Dr. Hill received her medical degree from Ross University’s School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies. She completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Ill. She is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, and she is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Having grown up in Yorkville, Dr. Hill is an area native who enjoys investing in her community. She has always loved children and her desire to become a physician started as early as the age of 12. Dr. Hill believes in the power of family to nurture healthy children. She is dedicated to working with the parents of her patients to provide optimal and compassionate care.

HASSNAIN SYED, M.D., FAMILY MEDICINE †
A family medicine physician, Dr. Hassnain Syed has served on the Morris Hospital Medical Staff since 2010. He provides care for patients of all ages, newborn through adult. He is trained to provide preventive care, routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunizations, screenings, behavioral health, and school/sports physicals. He has a specific interest in diabetes, hypertension, behavioral health, addiction medicine, female health, pediatrics and wound care.
Dr. Syed received his medical degree from the Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan. He completed an internship at Jinnah Hospital in Pakistan and a family medicine residency at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Syed is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

ASHLEY BLOUGH, F.N.P.-B.C., FAMILY MEDICINE
As a family nurse practitioner, Ashley Blough is qualified to serve as the primary health care provider for patients of all ages and is an excellent resource for preventive care, routine check-ups, health risk assessments, immunizations, screening tests, behavioral health and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her family nurse practitioner certificate allows her to order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose disease, provide appropriate treatments, and prescribe medications. She has particular interest in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes and heart failure.
Born in Harvey, Ill., Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet and worked for six years as a registered nurse before obtaining her master’s degree in nursing from Governors State University in University Park, Ill. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
A family nurse practitioner since 2016, Ashley says her goal is to build strong relationships with patients through compassion, understanding and trust.

As a family nurse practitioner, Angela Todd is specially trained to care for patients of all ages, from babies to seniors, including preventive care, routine check-ups, health risk assessments, immunizations, screening tests, behavioral health, and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She holds a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate, allowing her to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic health conditions. She is also able to order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications. Angela has a passion for working with pediatric patients, women’s health and behavioral health.
Angela received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. She has more than 13 years of experience as a registered nurse in the Morris Hospital Emergency Department. She is certified in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and basic life support.
Angela believes in encompassing the holistic needs of every patient with an individualized plan of care. She is dedicated to instilling trust and compassion while striving to provide optimal outcomes and culturally sensitive care.

LABORATORY
The Morris Hospital Ottawa Campus is a site for blood tests and other specimen collections. Specimens will be processed in the Morris Hospital Laboratory with timely results sent to your physician. You can bring your order here even if your provider is at a different location.
After your provider orders a lab test for you, you can WALK IN to our Ottawa Campus or one of our other outpatient Laboratory locations. You do NOT need to wait for a call from Scheduling. Be sure to bring your photo ID and health plan ID card with you. To assure accurate results, please follow fasting instructions if applicable. If you have questions about your lab test instructions, please contact your provider’s office.
Peak lab hours are early morning for fasting patients. If your lab work does NOT require fasting, you may reduce your wait time by coming after 10 a.m.
