MIR H. ALI, M.D., PH.D., ORTHOPEDIC SPINE SURGEON
Dr. Mir Ali is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in conservative, non-surgical and surgical treatment of neck and back disorders. His primary focus and expertise is on the treatment of spine disorders, including neck, mid and low back problems.
Dr. Ali completed his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Pathology in 2002, and then graduated from medical school with highest honors in 2004. He completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. in 2009 and fellowship training in spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center in 2010. Dr. Ali joined the Morris Hospital Medical Staff in 2013.
Dr. Ali is known in the medical community for his precise examination skills, attentive ears, and his vigorous belief in patient education. He is also known as a conservative surgeon who believes in surgery as the very last option and only believes in as little surgery as necessary to address the patient’s condition.
Dr. Ali’s philosophy is spending adequate time with each patient, explaining his/her condition in terms he/she can understand, discussing treatment options together in a team-oriented manner and recommending surgery only when all other options have failed.

AHMED ELDIB, M.D. ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON
Dr. Ahmed Eldib is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon in adult reconstruction, specializing in hip and knee conditions and lower extremity related orthopedic trauma. His surgical expertise includes total knee replacement, total hip replacement, partial knee replacement, total hip and knee revision, and patient specific total knee replacement. Dr. Eldib is trained in Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery.
A native of New York, Dr. Eldib completed his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn. He continued his medical training at SUNY with an orthopedic surgery residency, followed by a move to the midwest for an adult reconstruction fellowship at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Skokie, IL.
In his interactions with patients, Dr. Eldib focuses on patient-specific care. He believes in having an open line of communication with his patients in order to best understand their needs and make patients active partners in their treatment.

RAYMOND J. MEYER, M.D., ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON
A board certified general orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Raymond Meyer focuses on arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine related injuries with an emphasis in shoulder and knee reconstruction.
As the team physician for Joliet Catholic Academy, he has the opportunity to work with athletes on a regular basis.
Dr. Meyer graduated from Loyola University – Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago in 1991, and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He then went on to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center in Minneapolis, Minn. He joined the Morris Hospital Medical Staff in 1997.

KYLE T. PEARSON, D.P.M., FOOT & ANKLE SURGEON
A board-certified reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Kyle Pearson treats adults and children with common to advanced foot and ankle problems using both non-surgical and surgical treatment procedures. His goal is to get patients back on their feet as safely and as soon as possible.
Dr. Pearson’s special interests include foot and ankle injuries, fractures, arthritic joint conditions, bunions, hammertoe deformities, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, diabetic foot and ankle conditions, wound care, ganglion and soft tissue tumors, and custom inserts. His advanced training in foot and ankle surgery includes, but is not limited to: foot and ankle reconstruction, mid-foot and hind-foot fusion, ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, tendon transfers and repair, wound healing, external fixation, and diabetic limb salvage.
Dr. Pearson received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in 2011 and completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2014. He joined the Morris Hospital Medical Staff in 2014.
Dr. Pearson is also part of the teaching faculty for the KSB Foot and Ankle Residency Program. He lectures both locally and nationally at scientific conferences, is a peer reviewer for multiple foot and ankle journals, and sits on multiple boards including the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association Board of Directors.

Dr. Paul Perona is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in adult joint reconstructive surgery. He specializes in hip, knee and shoulder replacements. KEITH M. REZIN, M.D., ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON
A board-certified general orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Keith Rezin treats patients with general orthopedic concerns, including knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, hand/wrist, foot/ankle and neck/back conditions.
Dr. Rezin sub-specializes in total joint replacement and sports medicine, using the latest minimally invasive procedures. He performs total knee replacements using the revolutionary Signature™ Knee Replacement System, which is known for having a quicker, less painful recovery than a traditional knee replacement. As the team physician for various local high schools, he has the opportunity to work with athletes on a regular basis.
Dr. Rezin graduated with honors from Rush Medical College, Chicago in 1986 and completed an orthopedic residency at Rush University in 1991. He had many choices of where to begin his practice but chose Morris because it reminded him of his hometown. In 1991, he moved to Morris and founded Rezin Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, which affiliated with Morris Hospital in 2021.

Board certified in both orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Stephen Treacy treats patients with injuries, fractures and conditions of the upper and lower extremities, including the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery.
Dr. Treacy received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency and general surgery internship at Tulane University School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals in New Orleans and is fellowship trained, having studied sports medicine at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi. ROBERT C. WILLIAMS, M.D., M.B.A., ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON
A fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Robert Williams specializes in upper extremity conditions including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, with a sub-specialization in total shoulder replacements and elbow surgery.
Dr. Williams has spent many years studying and training at prestigious medical centers around the country. He most recently completed a Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Prior to his fellowship, he completed a residency at the University of Texas in Galveston. He received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Science, College of Medicine. Dr. Williams joined the Medical Staff at Morris Hospital in 2020. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Williams is highly trained in shoulder replacement surgery, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy, elbow replacement surgery, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability, elbow instability, and sports and overuse injuries of the upper extremity. He offers the latest techniques in shoulder replacement surgery including computer-aided planning, stemless shoulder replacements, and even custom implants in patients that need a more tailored approach to their surgery.
Additionally, he has worked with one of the nation’s elbow experts to learn techniques in complex elbow surgery. He treats and performs surgery for all types of elbow issues, including Tommy John Surgery.

Through our Durable Medical Equipment department located in our Morris office, we are able to provide medical equipment that patients may need after having surgery performed by a physician with Morris Hospital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. While patients are not required to receive medical equipment from our DME department, keep in mind that all of our equipment is approved by the provider who wrote your script and will be sized and fit by a certified professional. Our products are chosen for their ease of use, function, durability and comfort. All of our DME is sized and fit by medical professionals, and all patients are instructed in the wear and care of their equipment. We are accredited for Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.

PAYING FOR DME
Morris Hospital is a participating provider in many commercial, government, and veterans/active service health plans. Be sure to check with your insurance provider to make sure Morris Hospital is an in-network provider. Most of our DME is billed to insurance prior to the patient receiving a bill. Costs not covered by insurance are the patient’s responsibility. Please note that we do NOT accept returns on any medical equipment that we dispense. Self-pay patients may be able to make payment arrangements. In addition, Morris Hospital offers a financial assistance program for patients who meet certain criteria.

FOOT AND ANKLE INSTITUTE
The Foot and Ankle Institute was developed by Dr. Kyle Pearson in 2014 to provide patients with a local center of excellence for foot and ankle care. The Foot and Ankle Institute offers comprehensive, individualized patient focused care with the goal of getting patients back on their feet as safe and soon as possible. Comprehensive options offered through the Foot and Ankle Institute include: Physical Therapy, MRI, Durable Medical Equipment, and, when required, surgery.
SPINE INSTITUTE
The Spine Institute was developed in 2013 under the direction of Dr. Mir H. Ali to provide patients with a local center of excellence for spine care. The Spine Institute offers comprehensive, individualized, patient-focused care with the goal of relieving patients of neck and back pain as safely and as soon as possible.
One of the goals of the Spine Institute is to help patients understand their spine condition and exhaust all reasonable non-operative treatment problems prior to considering surgery. Occasionally, surgery may be suggested to help treat a spine problem.
Patients and their families are encouraged to get all their questions answered to their satisfaction so they can make an informed decision based on their understanding of the problem and risks, benefits, and alternatives to surgical intervention.
OSTEOPOROSIS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
The Morris Hospital Osteoporosis Management Program was designed to reduce osteoporosis related bone breaks and fractures through earlier diagnosis and improved management of the condition.
Patients start the program by meeting one-on-one with Nurse Practitioner Taelor Stuedemann at the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine office in Morris (Route 6 and YMCA) where they discuss their medical history.
Individuals who have risk factors or a family history of osteoporosis are encouraged to talk to their primary care provider or call Morris Hospital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at 815-942-4875 and ask for an appointment with the Osteoporosis Management Program.

LUKAS JAKUBONIS, P.A.-C., PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Lukas Jakubonis is a certified physician assistant who teams with Dr. Ali in the care of his patients.
Providing a broad range of medical services, Lukas helps to diagnosis and treat patients in clinic and assists Dr. Ali in surgery. Patients may see Lukas in clinic for routine appointments, follow ups, after surgery while they are in the hospital, and post-operative visits.
Lukas completed his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Ohio Dominican University in 2018 and began working with Dr. Ali shortly after.

CARRIE LOPEZ, P.A.-C., PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Carrie Lopez is a certified physician assistant who teams with Dr. Perona in the care of his patients.
Providing a broad range of medical services, Carrie sees patients for post operation appointments, administers injections, and provides general orthopedic care. She also make rounds on in-patients.
Carrie completed her medical training at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
In her free time, Carrie loves spending time with her two daughters.
AUSTIN SPOON, N.P., NURSE PRACTITIONER
Austin Spoon is a nurse practitioner who teams with Dr. Meyer in the care of his patients.
Providing a broad range of medical services, Austin helps to diagnose and treat patients in clinic, and assists Dr. Meyer in surgery. Patients may see Austin in clinic for routine appointments, injections, pre-operative history and physicals, after surgery while they are in the hospital, and for post-operative visits.
Austin acquired his master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais in 2021, and received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University in 2016. He has been working with Dr. Meyer since 2021.
Austin also worked as a certified advanced firefighter with the Momence Fire Department.
Teaming with Dr. Meyer, Austin sees patients at the Morris (Route 6 and YMCA), Joliet and Diamond-Coal City offices.
TAELOR STUEDEMANN, D.N.P.-C., NURSE PRACTITIONER
Taelor Stuedemann is a certified nurse practitioner who teams with Dr. Rezin in the care of his patients.
Providing a broad range of medical services, she helps to diagnose and treat patients in clinic, and assists Dr. Rezin in surgery. Patients may see Taelor in clinic for routine appointments, injections, pre-operative history and physicals, after surgery while they are in the hospital, and for post-operative visits. She also offers a presentation on total joint replacement for patients and their families scheduled for surgery with Dr. Rezin.
Taelor also leads the Morris Hospital Osteoporosis Management Program. The program is designed to to reduce osteoporosis related bone breaks and fractures through earlier diagnosis and improved management of the condition.
Taelor received her Doctorate of Nursing degree from Bradley University and became a nurse practitioner in 2019. She has been working with Dr. Rezin since 2020.
Teaming with Dr. Rezin, Taelor sees patients in the Morris (Route 6 and YMCA) offices.
